Have you started decorating yet?
Ok, don't hate me, but I started unboxing some of my Christmas decor this weekend. I know its early but I wanted to be able to share some of my new finds with you. If you know me, you know I love all things farmhouse. Think Joanna Gaines wannabe. When the holidays hit, I love sticking with my farmhouse theme and purchase decor to match that. Even if you don't love the farmhouse vibe, most of these finds will work for you anyway.
This year Target seriously hit a home run with their Christmas decor. The best part, all of it is super affordable. Let's start with the tree collar I finally snagged. These were all the rage last year which meant they were almost impossible to find and purchase. So many are already sold out again but, I was able to find and link a few for you. Most of us have used tree skirts for years. Give this a try. It looks neater and gives your tree and updated look. There are so many different styles available. They work with real or faux trees.
SHOP: Tree collars: Gold, Galvanized metal, White
Next up, I decorated the main tray on my kitchen island. I change this decor with every season. Almost all of what you see on that tray is from Target and is under $10! (The plates excluded.) Before decorating a tray, choose a theme. Make sure all pieces fit that theme before adding them to the tray. Then, create some height on your tray, add a tall piece. I added a faux tree from Hearth & Hand(brand). There are three sizes and mine is the tallest. Next, you want to fill in the spaces. I used the black and white pieces from Target's Wondershop brand. Many of these little pieces were only $5!! The galvanized truck is actually an ornament and coordinated perfectly. Lastly, add some texture. I added pine cones, berries, and garland pieces to give the tray some texture, color and character.

Target had quite the selection of small artificial trees, garland, ornaments and other decor that fit perfectly into the farmhouse theme. They also had an array of decor that included bright colored pieces as well as your classic red and green. No matter what your style or budget, they are making it easy to update your Christmas decor this year. But, DO NOT WAIT. This stuff is selling out fast so order soon!
This post was a bit of a change from my normal fashion inspiration but I hope I was able to give you a bit of home decor inspiration. I'd love to know if you'd like to see more of this in future posts!
Check out some of the boards I made below with more decor ideas all from Target. I linked it all on my LIKEtoKNOW.it page for you so be sure to head there to shop.
